Each year, six enthusiastic students organize the EFR Business Week. From August onwards, they work nine months full time towards an innovative and inspiring event. During this time span letters are written, plans are thought out and gradually concepts are transforming into a well-shaped event. Setting up contact with (internationally) renowned speakers, visiting companies, meeting prominent person in various fields of expertise and designing unprecedented marketing stunts are some of the daily activities of the committee members. It is a great challenge and privilege to work on a project which truly can be crafted according to your vision, together with five amazing, ambitious and invigorating fellow committee members. You will face difficulties during this period, but you will overcome these struggles together. After nine months, these six students have a backpack stuffed with new skills which will be useful for their future.
About me: my interests are in business and technics, especially where these two areas match. I love sports, especially cycling, and have cycled the famous “Amstel Gold Race”. Furthermore, I also love sailing, both bigger yachts and smaller dinghys.
I often notice that most students do not give enough attention to the magnitude of their position and therefore I love to teach and inspire other students to get the most out of their lives.
About me: I love to run. Soon I will run the half marathon and this year I am planning to run the marathon of Rotterdam. Setting goals and achieve what you think you can not achieve is what I believe is the meaning of life. Often many people limit themselves to what they can do. What you believe, remember, you can achieve. Go above and beyond your levels, expectations and targets. Good luck!
Hello everybody, I am of the two Congress Managers of the EFR Business Week in April 2014. Together with Daan I will be responsible for the congress element of the business week. We will assure that there will be plenty interesting and inspirational speakers to make this edition of the Business Week astonishing once again.
During my time off, I like to do sports (dancing, sailing, horse riding). Moreover, I love to travel and spend time with friends. One of the most important things in life is to enjoy and ensure you do not work to live but live to work.
I am also the treasurer, which keeps control of the in- and outflows of the money. Always keeping an eye on the budget! Along with my friends and my twin sister, I enjoy just to sit and chat all the time.
Live up to your eagerness and expectation. This is an important state of mind for every student. I hope this week can trigger this thought. You are more capable than your know-how. Next to the EFR-Business Week I like to go out ( obviously), play golf and tennis, and I like to cook.
